Vijayawada is on the main Chenna Kolkata and Chennai Delhi railway lines. About 65km northeast of Warangal, the stunning Ramappa Temple (h6am-6.30pm), built in 1234, is an attractive example of Kakatiya architecture, although it was clearly influenced by Chalukya and Hoysala blank 50 states map styles. Staff are friendly and on top of it, the rooms are large and quiet, have balconies and constant hot water.
